Tom Bunker, who lived in Fraser House for more than 50 years, has passed away.

Members of the community and councillors joined in paying respect to Tom ahead of his funeral today (3 November).

Cllr Marina Sharma said: "Brentford East has lost a beloved member of the community.

"Later on today we will be bidding a final farewell to one of the very first residents to move into Fraser House, Green Dragon Lane more than 50 years ago.

"Tom and Joan Bunker were known by so many residents and over the years the affection for Tom from his neighbours in Fraser House was infectious.

"Tom had time for everyone and enjoyed stopping to saying hello and have a chat.

Born in 1928, Tom worked for London Transport until he retired.

Cllr Sharma added: "Tom had experienced so much in his life and was a family man, he has seen soo many changes throughout the years."

Karen Reader, a neighbour of Tom before he passed away said: "Tom was a wonderful neighbour and I'm very privileged to have called him a dear friend, it will be hard being in the block without him"
