A community meeting is being held tomorrow evening by the West Area BCU police and Hounslow Council in reaction to the fatal stabbing that took place in Brentford.

The event is open for all local residents who have concerns about the impact the incident has had on the community and to answer questions anyone may have.

This is in response to the fatal stabbing in Albany Parade, Brentford on Friday, 12 November where 20-year-old Ali Abucar Ali lost his life and 82-year-old Betty Walsh was hospitalised from stab injuries.

The meeting will take place tomorrow, Wednesday 24 November from 6:30pm until 8pm at the Brentford Free Church.

Chief Superintendent Sean Wilson, West Area BCU Commander said: "I understand how this tragic incident has had a deep impact on the families and friends of Ali Abucar Ali and the woman stabbed on 12th November in Brentford. This has also raised concerns and questions for the local residents.

"The West Area BCU, alongside the London Borough of Hounslow Council are holding this community meeting to allow those residents to meet and talk with us about these issues.

"Working with our community is paramount in tackling local concerns."

Members of the Brentford community came together with tributes and donations to stab victim Ali Abucar Ali after the incident, and a candle lit vigil and two minute silence was held over the weekend.

In a statement on Twitter, Brentford Police said: "Following the tragic murder of Ali Abucar Ali, 20 and stabbing of an 82 year old woman on 13th of November in #Brentford, West Area BCU Commander Sean Wilson and Superintendent James Pigg will be holding a community meeting with Hounslow Council"

The meeting will be held tomorrow, Wednesday 24 November from 6:30pm until 8pm at the Brentford Free Church, Boston Manor Road, Brentford TW8 8DW.
