Communal office hub coming to Brentford High Street

26th Aug 2021 | Local News

A former newsagents shop in Brentford High Street is to be transformed into co-working office space as more people choose to work away from central London during the coronavirus pandemic.

What was once Martins newsagents is to be turned into a "modern, stylish workspace" by Hounslow Council.

Desks will be available on an ad-hoc or fixed term rental basis at "affordable" rates.

The hub will feature break-out areas to allow users to network and collaborate.

The council said: "The technology and digital media needs of a business in 2020 will be catered for with super-fast fibre connectivity and a digital studio available to hire for professional content creation (photography, video and streaming).

"Keeping with the times also means recognising the challenges today's businesses face and, while Digital Dock will provide flexible affordable workspace, it will also be fully adaptable to reflect CV-19 distancing and safety requirements."

It is not clear when the hub will open but the council said it will be available in the "coming weeks."
