An area of Brentford Library is to be opened on Monday for bookworms to browse, borrow and return books.
The library has been undergoing major refurbishment over the last few months that will see new spaces, toilets and a lift.
Due to space restrictions in the library, the book stock is limited. However, a 'Click and Collect' service is being offered, which will give customers access to a wider range of books.
These can be reserved online, by emailing [email protected] or by calling 020 8583 5550.
Cllr Chaudhary, Cabinet Member for Leisure Services at Hounslow Council, said: "The amazing improved refurbished library will be a great space for local residents to enjoy.
"As soon as we are in a position to share more information about the official opening we will do so.
"We know how important the library is to our community, so are delighted to be able to open a section of it, for people to visit.
"However, due to space restrictions, our book stock is limited. We therefore encourage residents to use the click and collect service."
The library will operate at reduced capacity to make it safe for customers and staff.
Visitors are required to wear a face covering in the library (unless exempt), keep a safe distance of 2m from others and sanitise their hands before entry.
Access to the library is via the side entrance in Windmill Road.
The library opening times are:
• Monday: 10am to 3pm• Tuesday: 10am to 3pm
• Wednesday: closed• Thursday: 10am to 3pm
• Friday: closed• Saturday: 10am to 3pm.
