Brentford Fountain Leisure is being used as a Covid vaccination centre.

The site on Chiswick High Road started offering vaccinations from on Tuesday.

The centre is run by Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, in collaboration with Hounslow Council.

The launch of the centre comes as the NHS focuses on vaccination people aged 50 and over.

Pippa Nightingale, NW London lead for the vaccination programme said, "We are very pleased to open a new vaccination centre at Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre, which will allow more of our local residents to receive a Covid-19 vaccine when they are eligible to do so.

"Our vaccination programme across NW London continues to progress at pace, and is helping to protect an ever greater share of people from the harmful effects of coronavirus."

One Brentford resident who got their jab said: "It was all very efficient and well-run with some lovely people carrying out the vaccination."
