Brentford FC Community Sports Trust plans to create a number of new sports and activity spaces in Hounslow, that are underway to encourage children and adults to be active together.

Working with Hounslow Borough Council and The Football Foundation, a charity helping communities improve their local football facilities, Brentford FC Community Sports Trust is asking participants where in Hounslow they want sports spaces, how they want to use them and what sports they like to play.

Whether you are a parent or a young person, the trust is asking for fans to share their views and fill in a short survey by 1 March 2023.

Those who complete the survey on behalf of the Trust could also be in with the chance of winning a signed Brentford shirt.

What are PlayZones?

PlayZones are safe and accessible outdoor facilities that bring people together through football and other sports such as netball, cricket, basketball and rugby.

These 30m x 20m activity spaces will be available for use day and night, all year round.

The PlayZones programme aims to create over 240 PlayZones in England by 2025.

Providing opportunities and access to safe, inclusive and welcoming facilities are at the heart of the programme says the Trust.

Brentford FC CST and Hounslow Council want to hear from those who might not have traditionally had a chance to get involved in sport.

Hounslow Council would be particularly interested in hearing from people from lower incomes, women and girls, people with disabilities or long-term conditions and ethnically diverse communities.

To share your views, complete a short survey here by the 1 March 2024.
