Our top pick for this week is The Creative Mile Brentford Art Trail showcasing the areas artistic talents.

The trail will follow a sign-posted one-mile pedestrian route connecting 8 art venues exhibiting over 50 artists.

Describing itself as 'an artist-led celebration of Brentford's creativity and hidden spaces', The Brentford Art Trail will shine a light on the areas creative history and hidden venues.

The trail will start with an opening event this Friday 6-8pm, with most venues open 11am-5pm on 4 and 5 September.

Co-chair of the event and Brentford-based artist Mr Mr Pearce said: "It started when I noticed the amount of people who said they've lived here for years and never knew we were here.

"I felt there was something missing and that we needed to promote this information by doing something together and to get more attention."

Mr Mr Pearce said there are around 60 artists now involved in the weekend events.
