Don't miss: Did you know today is National Face Your Fears Day? Yes, it is. A day celebrated since 2007 on the second Tuesday of October.

The Oxford English Dictionary defines fear as "an unpleasant emotion caused by the threat of danger, pain or harm". This day offers of an opportunity to step out and overcome things that are holding you back, anything from going on a bracing outdoor run to asking someone you like on a date, is there something you could do today or this week to overcome a fear?

Joke of the Day: Q: If you give an alligator a GPS,

A. Does that make it a navigator?
