An exciting new competition in which businesses can win free digital poster advertising space across Hounslow has launched.

A partnership between Hounslow Chamber of Commerce and JCDecaux UK has resulted in Advance for Growth, which as well as free advertising space will equip one Hounslow business with the tools and expertise to substantially scale the company and build a strong, recognisable brand.

The winning business will receive access to the Council's and JCDecaux's prestigious digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) advertising estate across the borough throughout 2023. This includes the digital advertising sites such as Council bus shelters and digital billboards.

Two runners up will also receive business support from the Council and a one-year free subscription to the Chamber of Commerce.

Councillor Shantanu Rajawat, Leader of Hounslow Council said: "This is a remarkable opportunity for an aspiring Hounslow business to scale and reach new audiences. We continue to seek new ways to make the local economy and businesses stand out. Through our strong local partnerships, we are providing a platform for one lucky business to dramatically grow and thrive.

"Not only will the business have access to premium advertising space, which will be seen by residents and visitors across the borough, but they will receive tailored support to ensure they maximise the potential for their brand."

Chris Collins, CO-CEO, JCDecaux UK said: "We're delighted to be working in partnership with Hounslow Council and the Hounslow Chamber of Commerce on this really exciting competition. Out-of-Home plays an important part in the heart of communities, helping businesses prosper and grow. This is a brilliant opportunity for home-grown talent in Hounslow to take the next step and build their brand on Out-of-Home."

Sally Smith, COO, Hounslow Chamber of Commerce said: ''Hounslow Chamber is really proud to be supporting Advance for Growth, working alongside JCDecaux and Hounslow Council. The initiative, with its impressively generous offer of free advertising, mentoring, and front cover on the Chambers business magazine for the successful company, will give such a boost to three Hounslow based businesses. We encourage all those eligible to enter, to do so.''

The winning business will also receive access to tailored business support from the Council, creative campaign support from JCDecaux and access to a network of local businesses and industry leaders from the Chamber of Commerce.

The competition is open to small and medium businesses located in Hounslow. Businesses can apply by completing the application form online and telling us why their business is ready to take this incredible step to scale and grow.

Closing date for entries is 7 November 2022. The winner will be announced on 24 November 2022 at the Hounslow Chamber of Commerce 2021/22 Business Awards.
