Black Blues Brothers will be opening the 2023 free outdoor cultural events series in Hounslow at Bell Square on the Coronation weekend.

Black Blues Brothers is an acrobatic celebration set to the rhythm of music inspired by the John Landis film Blue Brothers; the Kenyan company have previously performed at the 2022 Royal Variety Performance.

This will be the first performance at Bell Square this year, taking place at 3pm and again at 7pm on Saturday 6th May, the weekend of King Charles III's Coronation, Bell Square performances have been a much-loved event since it began with over 220,000 people watching the shows in total.

These outdoor performances will continue throughout the summer until November, ending with the Winter Lights, and will see lots of high energy performances of acrobatics, circus, theatre and dance.

The performances will see amazing performers from around the world come to Hounslow as well as domestic artists to perform and work alongside the local community.

In addition, Bell Square's programme in 2023 will build on two large projects started last year: the summer mass participation project with the theatre company Rara Woulib, from Marseille and Anhad, the festival of South Asian outdoor arts – both of which proved to be very popular with audiences.
