Barclays and x+why open first Eagle Lab branch in London

A High street bank and x+why has launched the first Eagle Lab branch in Chiswick, in hopes of boosting the UK's start-up ecosystem.
x+why, a leading flexible workspace specialist has partnered with Barclays to launch a new Eagle Lab, with a combined mission to support local entrepreneurs and ambitious startups to connect, innovate and grow.
The Eagle Lab will provide start-ups and entrepreneurs with co-working, office, and meeting space.
Barclays will also support entrepreneurs with access to banking services, business expertise, mentoring and coaching from scale-up specialists.
Dr Rupa Huq, MP for Ealing Central and Acton, said: "As a lifelong local and child of local business through the background of my parents I am delighted to welcome the Barclays Eagle Lab to Chiswick.
"The Lab's working space, network and tools will support the West London business community to fulfil its growth plans and scalability ambitions.
"I encourage local entrepreneurs, startups, and small businesses to apply and become part of the Lab."
The team will also host a full year-round events programme dedicated to promoting collaboration and innovation in the community.
Beyond providing a hub to work from, Eagle Labs offer members the opportunity to connect with like-minded entrepreneurs, local organisations, universities, industry bodies and potential clients and investors across the country, to help them build their networks and grow.
