Alexanders Group have teamed up with Hounslow Community Foodbox, Brentford FC and Hilton Heathrow to support vulnerable families over the Easter period.

On Saturday 1st April at Alexanders' warehouse facility at Heathrow Airport, a team of volunteers came together to put together 150 hampers to be distributed to vulnerable families across Hounslow.

The hampers contained a recipe kit for Moroccan Couscous and chickpea salad, chocolate, eggs, biscuits, toys and books for children, vouchers for a local soft play centre or museum visit, signed photos of Brentford players, and a bunch of flowers.

Alex Pope, director of Alexanders Removals & Storage, said: "We are pleased to have contributed to spreading joy and hope through our hamper baskets, which we believe will bring comfort and happiness to numerous people this week.

"Our efforts are aligned with the shared vision of local businesses and organisations to make a positive contribution to the community"

Among the volunteers was Brentford Women FC defender Nadia Peters, who came to help with putting together the hampers.

Hounslow Community Foodbox Treasurer, Philip Jones, said; "It's wonderful that with the strong support of Alexanders Removals & Storage, Brentford FC & Hilton Heathrow, we are able to provide 550 adults and children in Hounslow with some special treats this Easter - a recipe kit, chocolate eggs and biscuits, gifts for children, spring flowers.

"With so many struggling to put food on the table, it really is a pleasure to be able to give some extra help and cheer at this time of year."
