Getty Images photographer Solomon N'Jie, known as 'Sol', is exhibiting a range of photos of classic rock and pop stars from the 1980s at Brentford's Musical Museum.

On Thursday (August 17), Sol will host an illustrated talk about he captured his images of music icons including Freddie Mercury, Tina Turner and David Bowie.

With an extensive archive of over 600 images, rock photographer Sol provided all the photos for the exhibit.

Throughout the 1980s, Sol was responsible for the crowd safety management of spectators at large London venues, where the world's leading artists and rock bands performed. During some concerts, he used a 35mm camera to capture rare and unseen images from unique vantage points of rock pop stars that have become global phenomena.

Sol will discuss capturing photos in a challenging environment, along with incidents and stories of dealing with the audiences, rock stars and backstage management. The talk will be illustrated with photos and some videos of iconic bands and concerts. To book tickets for the unique event, visit the Eventbrite website.

The exhibition is open until August 28.
