HOUNSLOW Borough has seen an increase in the number of new coronavirus cases following last week's decrease.

Specifically, there was an increase of over 74% of new cases in the latest COVID-19 figures that were released.

In the week of June 7 to 13, Hounslow Borough saw 225 new positive cases, compared to 129 the week before.

That figure represents an increase of 74.4%, with 96 more new cases.

That means there was also an increase in the number of new cases per 100,000 residents, with 83.1, compared to 47.6 the week before.

Those figures are now higher than the average across both London and England.

London as a whole had 6,445 new cases during the week of June 7 to 13, which represents 71.9 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

England saw 43,599 new cases during the same week, correlating to 77.5 cases per 100,000 people.
