TODAY (June 21) is International Yoga Day, so here's some yoga related Brentford news.

The Pump House Day Nursery and Pre-school has created a new yoga and wellbeing area for children and staff at the nursery.

The nursery, located close to the riverside, off Pump Alley, has utilised space on the top floor of the three-storey converted building, to create an environment in which children can reflect on their emotions and boost their wellbeing, through activities including yoga and mindfulness.

Senior Manager, Hannah Little, said: "Following our children's most recent interests and curiosity of emotions, the team at The Pump House Day Nursery and Pre-school collaborated on different ways in which we can utilise our everyday environment.

"We are able to use this space to do yoga and other calming activities to build a bank of mindfulness techniques and strategies that the children can use when necessary."

The nursery is currently accepting application for new enrolments across all age groups.
