Brentford High Street pub, The Beehive, is set to open "imminently" after a "temporary closure", according to Fullers Brewery.

The popular drinking spot on the corner of the High Street and Half Acre is still temporarily closed, however Fullers Brewery, who manage the pub, assured that it will reopen soon.

A spokesperson for Fuller's said: "It is just a very short temporary closure and will be reopening imminently with a new tenant."

They added that terms were being completed and agreed, but that "hard and fast dates" could not be given yet.

On 17 July, the pub announced on Facebook they had shut for a Covid deep clean and isolation, promising to reopen soon.

According to their website, a number of their team members were asked to self-isolate, forcing them to temporarily close.

Fullers have encouraged the public to keep an eye on their social feeds for updates.

Built in the 19th century, the pub was rebuilt in its present form and designed by TH Nowell Parr and AE Kates in 1907.

It was named after the Beehive brewery, founded in the area by the Gomm family in 1840.

A heated outdoor seating area, fruit machine and quiz machine are among the Fullers pub features.

The pub is also a popular spot for watching the football, with Sky and BT sports shown daily.

The Beehive can be found at 227 High Street, Brentford.
