Jamie Clark is a parent of two budding bike riders – he knows the challenges of single-handedly getting two young people to school and back, and fitting in travel to work, shops and days out. He first adapted a folding electric bike to carry his two children to school in order to avoid an hour in gridlocked London traffic and this started a quest to find more and better options for the families he knew.

Jamie stumbled into the world of e-bikes when someone stole his normal bike! He found a folding electric bike and thought, with a bit of DIY this could work. Once he had adapted it so that the kids could travel with him, he ditched the horrible drive in favour of cycling along the canal, which is a really beautiful journey by bike.

He founded electric bicycle shop J’aimebike in 2020 in the height of the pandemic, with a focus on providing solutions for families who want to change their lives and the local environment permanently and for the better. Whether it’s an easier commute, a family activity or the usual local run-around, he seeks out bikes that make life happier, less stressful and better for the world around us.

Pop in and visit Jamie for honest, no-nonsense advice about electric bicycles and the right model for you and your family.
