Get ready for live music and performances, great food and drink, interactive workshops, giant games, engaging talks, and more. Soak up the sunshine on the waterfront, and experience how this exciting new west London destination is coming to life.
Ready to spice up your summer? Then come to The Brentford Project Food Festival on July 29th, where the best of West London's foodie scene will be out in force for a day of delicious eats and fun in the sun. It's set to be a foodie's heaven - get your taste buds tingling with deli treats, hot food trucks and BBQ from Ruben's Reubens at Rye by the Water, as well as delicious sweet treats. And the best part? You'll get to experience a true global culinary offering, with everything from Italian pizza through to classic Tex-Mex.
And that's not all, gourmet gurus…you'll also get the chance to learn some new culinary skills, with oyster shucking workshops from the team at Sam's Waterside - set to open its doors at The Brentford Project later this year – as well as margarita making with London's only Tex-Mex, D Grande. There'll be something to keep the whole family entertained too, including face painting, pick n mix and a showcase of car eye candy from classic and supercar hub, Duke of London.
On Saturday 12th August, head down to The Brentford Project's Summer Party, where we're taking the classic garden party and giving it a waterfront twist. The bandstand will be rocking with local musicians all day long, playing feel-good summer tunes to get you in the party mood. And if you're looking for some friendly competition, there'll be giant garden games that are sure to keep the whole family entertained. Have your face painted (no matter your age!) for the all-round fairground feel, and take a snoop around Duke of London, which will be showcasing its impressive collection of classic and supercars.
Don't forget to stay fuelled for the fun – there'll be a great array of food and drink on offer, from delicious BBQ treats from Ruben's Reubens at Rye by the Water, and course, a garden party isn't complete without the classic summertime beverage, Pimm's.
This summer, we're also bringing you three evenings of insightful and fun conversation with some of west London's most exciting business owners at The Brentford Project Summer Talks: Entrepreneur Edition. Hosted by design and style journalist, Becky Sunshine, at the retro-inspired Plonkers Bar at Duke of London, we'll be shining a spotlight on the great minds bringing new ideas to Brentford's creative and cultural scene.
Each event will feature a different local personality setting up shop at The Brentford Project, exploring how they built their business, why Brentford, and what's next for their brand, as well as sharing their top tips for building a successful business. On June 22nd, we're excited to welcome back Merlin McCormack, the founder of family-run classic and supercar hub, Duke of London. On July 20th, Becky Sunshine will be chatting with passionate restaurateur Sam Harrison, the man behind the much-loved Sam's Riverside and Sam's Larder, and soon-to-open Sam's Waterside at The Brentford Project. Finally, on August 10th, we'll be welcoming the names behind London's only Tex-Mex offering, Richard and Ashley Burghardt, into the hotseat.
Calling all plant lovers! This summer, Glass Gardens is bringing its popular terrarium building workshops back to The Brentford Project, where you can learn the art of terrarium building and discover the fascinating history behind these miniature ecosystems. With three Saturday sessions to choose from, and with Glass Gardens as your guide, you'll be able to create your very own little world inside a glass jar.
