A woman is fighting for her life in hospital after she was attacked and raped in Hounslow on Wednesday (November 2).

The woman, aged in her 60s, was seen being pulled into an alleyway near Martindale Road at 6:14am.

She was taken to hospital and is still fighting for her life a day later. Her next of kin have been informed.

Police arrested 39-year-old Hounslow resident Ramazan Mukalazi at the scene on suspicion of sexual assault.

He has since been charged with rape and attempted murder and will appear in custody at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court today (Thursday, November 3).
