1.The Holdovers (15)

About:  From acclaimed director Alexander Payne (Sideways), Paul Giamatti plays a history teacher at a prestigious American school, who is forced to remain on campus during Christmas break to babysit the handful of students with nowhere to go.

Eventually he forms an unlikely bond with one of them and with the school’s head cook, who has just lost a son in Vietnam. Winner of two Golden Globe Awards and with seven BAFTA and five Academy nominations.

When: See website for times.

Where: 40 High St, Brentford TW8 0DS.

Price: See website for prices.

2. Swinging in the 60’s

About: Merseybeat, surf, Motown, cheese, rock, ska and just plain pop - played on old school vinyl to a friendly (if slightly worn out) bunch of party people of varying ages, who are old enough to know better.

Mod, rocker, hippy or skinhead (no fighting, we're not on a beach!), all welcome.

Come along and twist the night away, relive your youth, or simply prop up the bar and enjoy the great music.

When: Sat, 3 Feb, 7:30pm-12am.

Where: Teddington Constitutional Club, 5 Stanley Road

Price: See link for prices

This introductory workshop will provide you with a basic introduction to mindfulness and its powers!

Melissa, the founder of The Kindfulness Effect, will also share with you details about my upcoming and 'life-changing' eight-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Course, should you want to take your mindfulness journey to the next level.

The workshop is online via Zoom.

When: Wed, 7 Feb, 8-9:15pm

Where: Online via Zoom.
