Events coming up in Brentford

Thursday: Brentford Cocktail Club

Join Ballymore at The Brentford Project for a mega mixology masterclass, with each session offering guests the opportunity to learn the art of crafting the perfect cocktail in a different theme – be it with gin, vodka, or rum.

Throughout the evening, you'll learn how to make four different cocktails – with access to your very own, fully-stocked bar – all led by an expert mixologist who is on hand to guide you through the process and answer any cocktail-related questions.

Indulge in a little healthy competition with other guests, working with your bar team to design, create and present the best cocktail of the evening. There'll also be a welcome cocktail waiting for you on arrival too.

 Friday & Saturday: Oedipus Electronica

The new production from Pecho Mama, Oedipus Electronica stages its world premiere in Brentford this weekend and Watermans has guaranteed a no-quibble refund on the ticket price for any audience member who doesn't love it.

By pairing the domestic grit of present-day London with searing live 80s electronica, the Oedipus myth has been brought to life in a huge feat of technical design by theatre makers and musicians Mella Faye, Don Bird and Alex Stanford.

Undergoing IVF, Jocasta on stage shares her horrific story of violence, sex and loss: taking the Oedipus tale of motherhood and telling it through the lens of the mother.

Saturday: The Brent-fit Project Festival of Wellness

Join Ballymore for The Brent-fit Project Festival of Wellness, a day-long event to re-centre your mind and body. There'll be a host of activities, stalls, and sessions to enjoy from local west London suppliers – and it's all completely free:

Indulge in some biophilia with terrarium classes, cleanse your chakras in a yoga session, breathe deeply with aromatherapy crafts, refresh with a juice bar, quell the anxiety with mindfulness workshop, soothe those aching shoulders with a mini massage, all soundtracked with live acoustic music from a jazz duo.

Saturday: Questors Choir Summer Concert

Questors Choir celebrates midsummer with a lively selection of choral delights, from Sumer is icumen in (the first ever written-down 6-part music) via Bach, madrigals, Sullivan, Verdi, Parry, spirituals, 80s pop, two premieres - and audience participation, of course.

Join for a fun evening of light-hearted singing!

Sunday: Brentford Market

Sunday 10th July

11am-2pm.

Watermans Arts Centre is the Brentford Nub News What's On sponsor. Without community-minded partners like Watermans we would not be able to produce the locally-relevant, clickbait-free news to the people of Brentford.
