A third person has now been arrested as part of the investigation into the murder of 16-year-old Rishmeet Singh in Southall.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of murder on Wednesday, 8 December and remains in custody at a north London police station.

This follows the arrest of a 19-year-old on suspicion of murder on Tuesday, 30 November, who was bailed to a date in late December, and another 17-year-old boy was charged with murder on Thursday, 2 December.

He appeared at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, 7 December and details await of his next court appearance.

Detectives launched a murder investigation after police were called to Raleigh Road at 21:07hrs on Wednesday, 24 November after reports of a stabbing that followed a fight involving a group of people.

Officers attended along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service (LAS) and found Rishmeet with stab wounds.

Despite the efforts of the emergency services, he died at the scene a short time later.
