Twickenham house thinner than London bus drops price by over £100,000
A home near Hounslow that's thinner than a London bus has dropped its price by over £100,000 in three months.
The narrow terrace house on Third Cross Road in Twickenham is now on the market for £549,950, down from £650,000 in mid-September when it was first listed.
The TARDIS-like home boasts a stunning interior and stretches back far, but measures just 7ft 9" (2.36 metres) wide.
It has two bedrooms, as well as an airy reception room, kitchen and bathroom.
The property is being sold by estate agents Jackson-Stops after previously being listed by Laurels. It was last sold in March 1999.
Its most recent price drop according to Zoopla was by £30,050 at the end of November.
An annex can be found at the bottom of the garden which adds an extra bedroom and kitchen to the site and could be used as a holiday let or office space.
The home is less than half a mile away from Strawberry Hill station which can take you into Central London within 40 minutes.
Properties on Third Cross Road sell for around £600,000 each – according to Zoopla.
The two-bedroom property is near Twickenham Green and inside the catchment area of several top schools, according to Zoopla.
Twickenham homes command an average price of £759,446, but typically sell at £773,296 on average.
Meanwhile, the average London house value has fallen to £661,403, according to a Zoopla estimate. But the average price paid stands at £701,844.
New estate agent Jackson-Stops did not wish to or comment on the home.
