A nightclub in Hounslow has been shut down by police following a triple stabbing that revealed licensing breaches and a "passive" attitude to violent disorder.

Circa Loca on Hounslow High Street came under scrutiny after three men suffered stab wounds on the premises in March.

On inspection, licensing officers found "a disregard of licensing conditions" and described a tacit acceptance of violence at the club, "with management and security passively standing by whilst violent disorder breaks out".

Among further management failings at Circa Loca was evidence that revealed substandard CCTV, patrons not searched on entry and breach of licensing hours.

In a statement published on social media yesterday Hounslow Police said: "Officers from the West Area BCU Licensing Team took positive action following an incident where three men were stabbed inside the Circa Loca, Hounslow High Street.

"Hounslow Licensing Authority agreed with the case made by West Area Licensing Team, the decision was to revoke the premise license."

It added: "At this time there have been no arrests in relation to the GBH incidents."

The three men who are all aged between 18 and 26 were taken to London hospitals and are expected to make full recoveries.
