Motorists, residents and businesses in Acton Lane are set to endure more delays as Thames Water say it is to extend its works to at least November 27.

The company had said earlier this month that it was on course to complete the works by mid-November.

But Hounslow Council has been told this will now not be the case.

Hanif Khan, Cabinet Member for Transport at Hounslow Council said: "We have been informed that Thames Water's ongoing repair works at Acton Lane will now extend to the 27 November.

"This is very disappointing as the continued disruption to the road network in the area is seriously inconveniencing motorists and residents.

"We will be monitoring the situation closely and hope that completion of the works can be brought forward from this suggested completion date."
