South Western Railway (SWR) has warned people not to travel today (4 March) on services between Woking and London Waterloo due 'an operational incident' in the Walton-on-Thames area.

The train company said lines running through the area have been blocked, causing trains to be unable to run between Woking and London Waterloo stations.

There has also been a knock-on impact on services on other parts of the network, as trains and crews are displaced, SWR confirmed.

SWR said: "Disruption is expected until the end of the day...we are very sorry for the disruption to journeys."
