Roadworks are set to begin today Monday (24 May) on Windmill Road and Boston Park Road.

The works are expected to last for eight weeks and are being done by Hounslow Council.

It will be necessary to close road, footways, restrict parking and use temporary traffic signals.

A 'No Entry' restriction on motor vehicles entering Swyncombe Avenue at the junction with Boston Manor Road will be in place.

When completed, the roadworks will see the creation of a contraflow cycle route along Boston Park Road to provide an eastbound cycle route and the increase of footway widths on Windmill Road.

Pedestrian crossings will also be installed on Windmill Road, north of the A4 to improve pedestrian routes to and from Brentford Station. This will require the closure of Windmill Road.

The closures will be handled on a staggered bases to ensure that access to properties can be maintained.

Single yellow line restrictions are to be replaced with double yellows on Windmill Road north of the A4.

There will also be a HGV ban implemented on the southern part of Windmill Road between Boston Manor Road and the A4.

The work is being overseen by Hounslow Highways, and any issues can be raised with it through its web site or by phoning 020 8583 2000.
