NO injuries have been reported as a shop caught fire in Hounslow.

Part of the ground floor of a mid-terraced shop with flats above was damaged by the inferno, with smoke logging affecting adjacent properties.

The Fire Brigade was called at 1:13pm on Tuesday, July 27, to a shop on Bath Road and brought the blaze under control by 3:06pm.

Four engines and around 25 firefighters from Feltham and Heston attended the scene.

Three people left the building before the Brigade arrived.

Road closures were put in place to deal with the incident, with Hounslow Police taking to social media to advise people to avoid the area on the A4 from Vicarage Road in both directions.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
