Brentford's London Museum of Water and Steam's cat, much loved by staff and visitors alike, has died.

The museum announced Maudslay's death by saying: "We are sad to share the news that our lovely cat Maudslay has died.

"When the museum first closed last Spring [due to Covid restrictions] she went home with Joanna, our Front of House coordinator and had a wonderful year of luxury sleeping on comfy beds and cushions.

"She was much loved by staff, volunteers and visitors and we will miss her very much."

The museum has faced tough financial times as it has been closed due to lockdown and has been asking for donations.
