HOUNSLOW Council and Brentford FC are joining forces to tackle COVID-19 by hosting a mass PCR testing event.

The event will take place tomorrow, June 19, from 11am-6pm at the Brentford Community Stadium.

Brentford FC is supporting the Council's drive to get as many people tested as possible, as part of the 'Step Up for Hounslow' campaign.

At the same time, it's an opportunity for local residents to visit the new stadium.

Leader of Hounslow Council, Steve Curran, said: "Don't miss the opportunity to get your PCR test at Brentford FC on Saturday.

"The only way we can all hope to get back to a more normal way of life is if we keep getting tested and remember 'hands, face, space'.

"If you're celebrating Father's Day this weekend, then why not come along with Dad on Saturday together and get him tested, too!"

Cliff Crown, Brentford FC Chairman, said: "We are delighted to be able to assist and provide a venue for this mass testing event on Saturday.

"We want to do all we can to stop the spread of COVID-19, the sooner we return to normal, the sooner we can fill our new stadium for the Premier League.

"We always wanted our stadium to be an asset for the whole community and this is just one way it can be used in the coming years."

No parking is available at the ground.

No vaccinations will be given at the event, for a list of vaccination centres in Brentford and throughout Hounslow Borough, click HERE.
