Police were called to Westfield on Wednesday evening

A man has been charged following a stabbing incident at Westfield shopping centre on Wednesday.

Dwayne Harrison-Brooks, 34, of no fixed address, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm and possession of a bladed article.

He is due to appear in custody at Westminster Magistrates' Court today (Friday, 16 April).

Police were called at just after 7pm on Wednesday, to reports of a stabbing at Westfield, off Ariel Way, W12.

Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service and a 21-year-old man was taken to hospital with a stab injury to his thigh.

His condition was assessed as non-life threatening.
