Man arrested after 14-hour standoff with police in Isleworth

A MAN has been arrested after a 14-hour standoff with police officers at a property in Isleworth.

Armed police attended an address on Riverside Walk shortly before 5pm on Friday, June 18, where a man was inside and was refusing to come out.

Local roads were closed off as a precaution.

The man refused to come out of the property for over 14 hours and was eventually arrested at 7:30am the next morning, Saturday, June 19.

He was arrested on suspicion of firearms offences and burglary.

Hounslow Police tweeted following the arrest: "Thank you to local residents for your patience as officers dealt with this incident throughout the night."
