Transport for London is getting into the football spirit with the help of a local Brentford school to celebrate the first Women's EURO match being played in London.
The Women's EURO tournament started this week when England kicked things off with a win, with the first London match being played at Brentford Community Stadium on Friday 8 July (tonight). To kick things off, local Brentford school, Strand On The Green, has recorded very special messages of support to be played out at Gunnersbury Tube and London Overground station as football fans arrive for the big match at 20:00 between Germany and Denmark in Group B.
Those travelling to Brentford will be welcomed by the voices of pupils from Strand On The Green Junior School, who are located just a stone's throw away from the stadium which will host the Women's EURO match.
The special messages can be heard throughout the day at Gunnersbury station on the following match days:
Friday 8 July – Germany v Denmark
Tuesday 12 July – Germany v Spain
Saturday 16 July - Denmark v Spain
Thursday 21 July – Quarter Final
Digital messages of support can also be seen throughout the transport network during match days to build up excitement for fans travelling across London and England.
