Developers of St Lawrence' Church have given notice that they plan to remove human remains from the church grounds.
They have revealed that the remains will be taken to a cemetery in Woking where they will be "reinterred".
The notice says: "Human remains post-dating 1920 are proposed to be reinterred at Brookwood Cemetery in Woking."
It adds: "No section of the land remains consecrated and no requirements have been imposed by the Bishop with respect to the manner of the removal, the place and manner of reinterment of human remains and the disposal of tombstones, monuments and other memorials."
The work is being carried out by Orion Heritage and the removal will be overseen by Hounslow Council's Chief Environmental Officer.
Permission was granted to developers Ballymore for St Lawrence's Church in Brentford High Street to be allowed to be used for a various retail and business purposes, such as for a restaurant, pub or even nursery.
And the site, which has not been used since the 1960s, has also seen the vicarage demolished to build a three-floor gym with a spa treatment room, hot and cold plunge pools and an outdoor swimming pool.
A seven-storey block of apartments is also planned for land next to the church which will create 18 two-bedroom homes.
