Train lines from Hounslow to London Waterloo via Barnes Bridge are blocked while urgent repairs are carried out.

South Western Railway (SWR) said it was informed today (Tuesday, November 22) that urgent repairs are required to a bridge at Barnes Bridge Station.

While the repairs are carried out trains are unable to run between Feltham and Barnes via Hounslow.

Disruption is expected to last through the week and weekend, with the current guidance that normal services will resume after Sunday, November 27.

SWR said train tickets will be accepted at no extra cost on the following services:

- TFL buses between Feltham and Barnes via Hounslow.

- London Underground via any reasonable route.

- London Overground between Richmond and Kew Gardens.
