HOUNSLOW Borough has seen a small increase in coronavirus cases over the past week.

Specifically, there was a 3% increase of new cases in the latest COVID-19 figures that were released.

Hounslow Council reported that a further 101 new people had a confirmed positive test result today.

This means that between August 18 to 24, 753 people had a positive test result, reflecting a 3% increase to the previous week.

The number of new cases per 100,000 residents is 278, which is slightly higher than the London average.

London as a whole had 24,236 new cases during the week of August 12 to 18 - the latest recorded data - which represents 269 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
