Hounslow residents could have their stories brought to life by professional illustrators as part of the Hounslow Digital Festival of Storytelling.

The Hounslow Digital Festival of Storytelling is in full swing across February and March and Hounslow Council have announced that they are working with three visual artists to bring some resident's words to life through illustrations.

Alice Roseberry-Haynes, Miguel Galue and Hounslow's-own Anna Trichkine have been brought in to pair the spoken word stories submitted by residents with stunning illustrations.

Hounslow Council's Cabinet Member for Communities and Equalities, Councillor Shivraj Grewal, said: "We're delighted to say that the Digital Festival of Storytelling has been a huge success so far and captured people's imaginations.

"The online workshops have been well-attended and we hope everyone has taken a lot from them. The festival is all about celebrating our shared heritage as residents of the borough.

"Now, it's your turn to tell us your story and possibly see it captured for all-time in pictures by one of our incredibly talented artists."

This year' Hounslow Digital Festival of Storytelling has challenged residents to record their own stories passed down through their family or their family's history to be part of the library of stories.
