Hounslow has been put on the shortlist for the annual I Live Here: Worst Place to Live in England vote.

The Borough was placed on the initial voting ballot along with almost 200 other towns and cities, alongside fellow West London boroughs of Uxbridge and Harrow.

It has subsequently cleared the two further trims to the list which saw 33 places removed from contention as it was paired down to the third phase of the contest.

Hounslow remains in the running, with voting continuing up until the 31st January for people to decide on the worst place to live in England.

I Live Here run the annual vote to decide upon the worst place to live in England, which last year saw Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire crowned the winner.

On their website they describe the vote as: "Time to choose which provincial dirt hole in England is going to take the title of the worst place to live in the whole country."

The latest update given on 10th January said that Luton and Portsmouth were both making strong pushes towards the top/bottom of the list.
