Hounslow House will be lit green from dusk today (June 14) to commemorate the fourth anniversary of the Grenfell Tower tragedy.

This year, due to the pandemic, the annual Silent Walk organised by Grenfell United will not be going ahead, but the walk route will be decorated with green artworks and everyone is encouraged to place a green heart on their windows.

Churches up and down the country will join together and ring their bells 72 times at 7pm to remember the 72 people who lost their lives.

Councillor Katherine Dunne, Cabinet Member for Communities and Climate Emergency, said: "We can never forget the horrific and devastating Grenfell Tower fire.

"On this anniversary our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of those that lost their lives along with the whole Grenfell community.

"As a mark of remembrance on the fourth anniversary of the fire, Hounslow will join other public bodies and light Hounslow House in green.

"We would also like to express our gratitude to all the who supported the emergency response efforts."
