Brentford people are being warned to strictly observe Tier Two Covid-19 guidelines after there were 340 new cases recorded in Hounslow this week.

In her latest message to the borough, the council's Director of Public Health, Kelly O'Neill, said: "The more cases rise, the greater the danger that we won't be able to contain the infection and we will start to see more people in our vulnerable groups become infected and unwell. For these people this virus can be deadly.

"This week we had over 340 new COVID cases. In the last week we tested 3,648 people, 9 per cent were positive.

"You must not meet socially with friends and family indoors, unless you live with them or have formed a support bubble."

Ms O'Neill also warned that people must especially observe the rules during the school half-term coming up.

"Stay safe this half term and don't break the rules. They're there to keep everyone safe.

"A kiss or hug with a family member or friend could pass on the virus quickly. Keep your distance. Play your part for your family, your community and for Hounslow. Don't be the one who spreads the virus."
