It might have been a year of months of lockdown but Brentford people are blessed with living in a great area with its canals and waterways.

In our gallery we've selected a few pictures of major landmarks and areas that have proved talking-points over the last few months.

The Dock Road car park paint revamp aroused a mixture of emotions - some loved it, others were not so enthusiastic to say the least.

Regeneration of the town is ongoing and, as we have recorded, The Brentford Project is beginning to take shape with the foundations laid for the development that includes homes, bars, restaurants and shops.

This year also saw the opening of Brentford FC's brand new stadium. A few fans have been able to watch games before the tier 4 restrictions. It is to be hoped many more will enjoy matches there in 2021.

The town is changing and evolving and the New Year will see exactly how as new developments emerge.
