Brentford schools will remain open during second lockdown

Brentford's schools will remain open during the second lockdown and Hounslow's education chief has urged parents to make sure their children attend.

Councillor Tom Bruce, Cabinet Member for Education, Children and Youth Services, said it was vital children continued going to school to "maintain their wellbeing and education".

He said: "Hounslow Council believes that prioritising the wellbeing and long-term future of our children and young people is paramount.

"So, as schools remain open during this new lockdown, it is critical that children and young people continue to attend in order to maintain their wellbeing and education, and to support working parents and carers."
