A bus strike is planned for tomorrow (Friday) and Monday that will affect all of the borough.
Normal services resume the day after the strikes at 6am (Saturday 24 April and Tuesday 27 April).
Hounslow Council is again offering assistance to motorists who have no other choice but to use their vehicles.
Drivers will be able to park in any on-street pay-to-park bay beyond the normal maximum 2 or 4 hour stay without further charge.
To benefit from this, the driver must purchase the maximum permitted stay in the normal way using Pay-to-Park or a pay and display machine.
Although the ticket will show the parking period ending after 2 or 4 hours, the council will not issue a penalty charge notice providing the car is moved before the start of the next day's paid-for parking period.
This special arrangement will run on strike days between 8am until 8pm on Friday 23 April 2021 and Monday 26 April 2021.
But the Council recommends that if at all possible, residents plan not to travel on strike days, and if they have to travel, to check live travel information or that residents consider cycling (using route maps) or walking using route maps.
