Grove Park bridge repair works will begin on Friday 21st April which will see the bridge intermittently close over the course of several months.

Transport for London will be carrying out repair work to the underside of Grove Park bridge which supports the A316 Great Chertsey Road over the railway between Barnes Bridge and Chiswick train station.

The work will be undertaken from Friday 21st April until early October between 8am and 5pm and some work on weekends which will mean that the railway is temporarily closed.

The northbound carriageway of the A316 will also be closed on 22nd, 23rd, and 30th April, 1st May, between the 6th and 9th of June, 25th and 26th June, 3rd July, 6th and 7th August, 23rd, 24th, 30th September, and 1st October.

On dates when the northbound lane of the A316 is closed and 24 hour working is in effect, the Council will temporarily suspend enforcement of the South Chiswick restrictions at Staveley Road, Hartington Road and Thames Road, Sunday dates will remain as at present with full access and restrictions will remain in place on days when 24 hour working is not in progress.

The pavement on the northbound A316 will also be when the road is closed, a diversion will be signposted, and the bus stop at Hartington Road will be relocated nearer to the junction with Hartington Road.
