GUNNERSBURY Park Parkrun has been granted permission to return on June 26.

Parkrun UK made the announcement yesterday (June 7) on Twitter, confirming that Gunnersbury Parkrun will be returning very soon, paying special thanks to Gunnersbury Estate CIC, along with both Hounslow and Ealing Councils.

It is still unclear when the return date for Osterley Parkrun is though.

This comes as Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, published an open letter last month advocating for the return of Parkrun, describing it as a 'London success story'.

It was first announced in February that Parkrun would be allowed to return nationwide on June 5, but last month it was announced that this had in fact been delayed.

A final decision on all Parkrun events (including Osterley) will be made this Friday, June 11.
