Each year, Hounslow Community FoodBox partners with Alexanders Removals and Storage and Brentford FC to spread holiday cheer to vulnerable residents of Hounslow.

This past Saturday (12 December), employees from Alexanders and volunteers from FoodBox worked together to pack over 160 hampers full of treats and small gifts.

Each hamper contained sweets, Christmas cards, and decorative tree ornaments. All of the 500 residents scheduled to receive a hamper received a Christmas gift.

All involved in the packing effort got into the festive spirit wearing Santa hats while Christmas music played throughout the warehouse.

Alex Pope, director of Alexanders Removals and Storage: "Alexanders is proud to support Hounslow Community FoodBox in its mission to bring the holidays to life for local families struggling this time of year.

"The smiles on recipients' faces when they receive their Christmas hampers make all the hard work of our employees and volunteers worthwhile.

"Partnerships like this allow us to give back and support the community we have served for decades."

Jane Jenkins, a longtime FoodBox' supporter shared a similar sentiment, she said: "As a longtime resident of Hounslow, I feel blessed to be able to help my neighbours in need during the holidays.

"Lending a hand to pack and deliver these Christmas hampers lets me play a small role in spreading joy and comfort. There is no better feeling than knowing I have helped make someone's Christmas morning a little brighter."

This week, Alexanders' drivers and volunteers will personally deliver each hamper door to door, hopefully providing a sprinkling of Christmas magic and warmth to some members of the community who otherwise may not experience it.
