This weekend the London Borough of Hounslow will mark Remembrance Sunday (November 13) with services and the laying of wreaths, arranged by the Royal British Legion branches and other community groups at all nine War Memorials in the borough.

Remembrance Sunday is a national opportunity to remember the service and sacrifice of all those that have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life. We remember the Armed Forces, and their families, from Britain and the Commonwealth, the vital role played by the emergency services and those who have lost their lives as a result of conflict or terrorism.

The Mayor, Cllr Raghwinder Siddhu and Deputy Lieutenant for Hounslow, Ms Rosi Prescott will attend two events (in Bedfont and Feltham), with fellow councillors, including the Leader of the Council, Cllr Shantanu Rajawat representing the Mayor and the Council at the remaining Services.
