A celebrity bodyguard from Brentford could "be fired" after using a stolen blue badge to avoid paying for parking.

Arvi Ndreca, 26, must pay £926 in fines and costs after he was caught fraudulently using the badge to park on Blacks Road, near Hammersmith Station.

A Hammersmith and Fulham parking inspector noticed the blue badge displayed in Ndreca's Mercedes-Benz on February 8 and found it had been reported stolen last year, on August 17, 2021.

Ndreca returned to his car and finding himself confronted by the inspector, initially said the blue badge belonged to a friend in Finchley. He then admitted he did not know the badge holder and said he was on his way to Vodaphone, nearby on Hammersmith Broadway.

The Brentford resident, of Great West Road, added that his uncle told him he could use the badge and if he had known it was fraud, he would not have done so.

His lawyer, Ms Fowler, said: "[Ndreca] works as a chauffeur and a personal bodyguard. Not for your average clients but for high-profile clients. He is subject to very strict checks. He will lose his job."

Ndreca will have a criminal record for a year and is unlikely to be allowed to work with high-profile clients during that time.

Ms Fowler requested Ndreca not be fined but be given a shorter, sharper punishment to allow his criminal record to expire faster and prevent his unemployment.

The court declined. At summary, the Magistrate told Ndreca: "For your guilty plea your fine is reduced to £384.

"The bad news is that you still ow £926. You have 28 days to pay in full."

In addition the Brentford bodyguard was asked to pay Hammersmith & Fulham Council £504 in costs and a victim surcharge of £38.

He must pay the fines by December 21 or risk bailiffs at his home and further fines.
