It's going to be a chilly winter weekend in Brentford with temperatures plunging as low as -3C overnight on Saturday.

Maximum daytime temperatures will reach 5C and there will be long sunny spells, according to the Met Office.

On Sunday, the forecast is for "light snow showers and light winds".

A Met Office yellow weather warning for ice and snow has been issued and runs between 3am and 6pm on Sunday (January 24).

"A band of rain will turn readily to snow as it spreads eastwards leading to possible transport disruption," the message reads.

People should expect:

- some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services with the potential for some roads to become blocked on higher level routes

- probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths
