WHAT TO WATCH at the Watermans cinema this week.

Annette

Starring Adam Driver and Marion Cotillard and directed by 'visionary' Leos Carax, this is an epic musical on the pitfalls of love, fame and fortune. Described as 'an unabashedly unique and unforgettable spectacle', it seems like a surreal viewing..

Wildfire

Director Cathy Brady presents a dark and haunting debut about sisters delving into the mysterious death of their mother in a small town on the Irish border. The film touches on points of political interest in northern Ireland, in an 'elemental force' of sisterhood and mystery.

The Champion of Auschwitz

Set in 1940 at Auschwitz concentration camp, the story follows a boxer, and pre-war champion in Warsaw, forced to fight in the camp by Nazi officers.

The War Below

During World War I, a group of British miners are recruited to tunnel underneath no man's land and set bombs from below the German front in hopes of breaking the deadly stalemate of the Battle of Messines.

Herself

A moving film set in Ireland about a young mum struggling to provide her two young daughters with a warm, safe, happy home to grow up in. So she decides to build her home from scratch, using all her ingenuity to make her ambitious dream a reality, whilst escaping the grip of her possessive ex-husband.

Respect
